The messaging platforms your OpenClaw agent can communicate on
OpenClaw Channels are the messaging platforms that your agent connects to and communicates through. OpenClaw supports dozens of channels including Telegram, Discord, Slack, WhatsApp, Signal, iMessage, and many more. Each channel connection lets your agent send and receive messages on that platform.
Channel connections are configured in the OpenClaw gateway with the platform's API credentials. Once configured, OpenClaw maintains a persistent connection to the channel and routes incoming messages to the appropriate agent session. The same agent can be connected to multiple channels simultaneously, responding across all of them.
Channel support determines where your agent can be reached. Your team might prefer Slack, your customers might use WhatsApp, and you might want Telegram for personal use. Running multiple channel connections from a single agent means one unified assistant that's everywhere you need it.
